Upon arrival in Dolton, Illinois, the group will tour Pope Leo’s childhood home and drive by his childhood parish. That evening, the group will enjoy dinner at Pope Leo’s favorite pizzeria, where Fr. Byron Macias will join them. Following dinner, he will lead a visit to the St. Jude Society, including a viewing of the relic of St. Jude, before the group continues on to their overnight accommodations in Vernon Hills.
Begin with breakfast at the hotel before departing for a visit to the National Shrine of St. Maximilian Kolbe, a peaceful and prayerful site dedicated to the life and martyrdom of the Franciscan saint who gave his life at Auschwitz, where the group will enjoy a guided tour exploring his legacy, the shrine’s exhibits, and spaces for reflection, followed by Mass. Afterward, the group will enjoy lunch and then board the bus to continue on to the Chicago Botanical Gardens, a beautifully curated landscape of themed gardens, walking paths, and serene natural settings offering a relaxing afternoon surrounded by seasonal blooms, tranquil water features, and educational displays. The day concludes with departure from the gardens and dinner in Vernon Hills.
The day begins with breakfast before departing for a peaceful visit to the Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Holy Hill, where pilgrims can participate in Mass, receive the sacrament of reconciliation, and enjoy personal time for prayer, reflection, and exploring the grounds. After gathering for a group photo, the journey continues with lunch, followed by a visit to the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Agnes Motherhouse for a guided tour and insight into the community’s life and mission. The afternoon includes a scenic stop at the Lakeside Lighthouse in Lakeside Park, offering time to enjoy the natural beauty, before checking in for the evening. The day concludes with a shared dinner and a beautiful sunset over the lake, ending with a restful return for the night.
Enjoy a delightful day of faith, shopping, and local flavors in Wisconsin. Begin with a festive visit to the Kristmas Kringle Shoppe in Fond du Lac, a spacious and charming store filled with Christmas décor and ornaments. Continue to the Holyland in Mt. Calvary for a private Mass set amid one of the most scenic and devotional areas in the region. Afterward, savor a relaxing lunch at LaClare Creamery, known for its artisanal cheeses and welcoming farm setting. The afternoon includes a stop at Henning’s Wisconsin Cheese to sample and shop for award-winning cheeses, with an optional visit to Country Lavender & Orchard for a peaceful countryside experience. Conclude the day with a hearty and enjoyable dinner at a classic Wisconsin supper club, offering a warm and satisfying end to a memorable outing.
The day begins with a visit to the National Shrine of Saint Joseph in De Pere, offering time for prayer and reflection in this peaceful and historic setting. The group then continues to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion, the only Church-approved Marian apparition site in the United States, where pilgrims will have the opportunity to explore the grounds, enjoy lunch, and participate in a private Mass. Following this spiritually enriching experience, the group travels to Fond du Lac for a relaxing dinner in a scenic countryside setting, followed by a stop for a sweet treat at a local creamery. The evening concludes with arrival at the hotel for a restful night.
The journey home begins with an early morning departure, including Mass celebrated on the bus and a stop for lunch along the way.
